Hi, I’m trying tio get the Open Sans 300 to work (next to some other font weights).
I first tried using the Open Sans from the General Styling -> fonts menu, but that doesn’t work. All the fonts with the 300 weight are in fact using the 400 weight. As an alternative, I tried using ‘Light’ instead of 300. that didn’t work either.
After that I tried downloading the font using this website.
I uploaded it as a zip file with the Import/Export -> Custom Font manager option.
No result doing that either.
When I only upload the 300 weight using this method, it works, but I’m missing the other weights.I tried adding the font in functions.php, but that didn’t do anything either.
Can you help me to get it to work?

Thanks for your patience, the Open Sans font in the theme only includes the 400 & 600 font weight, if you want to use the 300 font weight please add it to your Enfold Theme Options ▸ Import/Export ▸ Custom Font Manager separately and apply it where you wish.Best regards,
MikeOctober 19, 2022 at 5:22 pm #1369441Hi Mike, thanks for your reply. I already did that in the current site, but it doesn’t work. The font is in the package, I’ve changed the styles to use it, but it’s not displaying correctly. If I check the font in the web inspector it says it’s using the 300 weight, but in reality it’s using the 400 weight.
Do I have to add anything to the function.php file to be able to use it?October 20, 2022 at 12:33 am #1369478Hi,
Thanks for the login to your site, I see that the font you installed is for the 400 font weight:
since you want the 300 font weight you should download it from Google Fonts, I see that the 300 is only available as the Light 300:
I added this for you:
I then created a test page, linked below, and applied this font to the H3 tag as a test in Enfold Theme Options ▸ Advanced Styling
and now the font is showing at 300:
Please clear your browser cache and check.Best regards,

The package I was using does contain the light version though. Below is the full set I uploaded. Isn’t this the way it’s supposed to work?
The font you upload works, so that great, but won’t the fact that that’s only a .ttf font give me problems or slowdowns on any devices? I’m trying to use .woff2 combined with the backup types for that reason as much a possible.
Do I have to upload every font version I want to use one by one (300, 400, 600, the italics, etc), or should a package like I generated work? The contents of my uploaded package:

open-sans-v34-latin-regular.woff2October 20, 2022 at 12:58 pm #1369578Hi,
I guess I misunderstood, the Google Fonts only gives the fonts in .ttf, so I downloaded your font zip with the .woff fonts and used the transfonter site that Guenni007 recommended, thanks Guenni007 and created a new zip for you open-sans-woff.zip and imported it for you and now you have the multiple woff fonts:
You can delete the other two fonts, I then changed the Enfold Theme Options ▸ Advanced Styling for H3 tags as a test, note that you must choose the font weight:
and now on the test page the font is the 300 woff font
Best regards,
