    On the news page, we want only the category “news” to display. We set the “blog posts” tool to show only that category. It’s displaying additional categories.

    1. We set the WP reading settings to ‘none’ for the Posts page.
    2. We are using “elegant” blog styling with a grid layout in Blog Layout options.
    3. In the Customizer, there is no choice for the Posts Page.
    4. Page preview is pasted below.
    5. Your login is below
    6. The posts each have ONLY one category. (we checked for duplicate categories)

    Can you tell us why the “Board Bio” post is displaying?

    We launched the site, which is why I waited to reply (it was on our dev server). I can turn on your login credentials if you want them.
    PHP Version is 5.6.30 (on the hosting server, where the site is now.)

    Hi,

    Thanks for the login details. You had set the Blog page as the same page in the theme options, that means the theme options will override what you have on the page. I unset the option in the theme options and it’s now working as it should.
