    I have a brand-new site, installed the latest WP version. When I upload the Enfold theme the website immediately displays that a critical error has taken place. I have tried different PHP versions on my host but with no succes.
    Please help …

    Wordpress version 6.2.2
    Enfold version 5.6.5

    The critical error occurs when I activate the Enfold Theme.

    Logins sent in private!

    I Received tis error mail that there was a problem with the enfold/WP :

    WordPress versie 6.2.2
    Actief thema: Enfold (versie 5.6.5)
    Huidige plugin: (versie )
    PHP versie 7.4.33

    did you rename the Enfold Parent Theme to : drive-download-20230730T165038Z-001 via ftp?

    How did you upload the enfold theme? Did you upload the installable zip file

    PS: newest enfold works nice with php 8.x

    go and rename that folder via ftp to enfold ! Maybe that solves the issue.

    by the way if you start with your enfold page – this might be a good moment to install the enfold child-theme! Many good tips and snippets are much easier to implement with a child theme.
    You can download it from the docu of enfold: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/child-theme/
    After renaming the enfold parent folder to enfold and uploading the child – you will see on Dashboard : Themes – two Enfolds – activate the Child

    Hi thanks for the tips. I didn’t rename anything, i just dowloaded the installable zip file and uploaded it into wordpress, this worked all fine but when i activated the Enfold theme the critical error accured.

    did you find anything?
    I hope you can help me, I can’t do anything at this moment.

    Thanks for that. The FTP details are not working, please check and verify. I couldn’t check the WordPress details, since the login page is returning an error screen.

    Ok, i’ve installed WordPress again so you can login, I also uploaded the Enfold theme bur did not activatie (otherwise the same problem occurs).

    ?I have checked the credentials for the FTP and send them in private.

    I can reach my ftp via the control panel of my host, credentials in private, maybe that will help you?

    Try what, activate the theme? When I click to show an example in the theme it immidiatly shows the error page, so when I activate the theme it will be the same outcome :(

    Thanks for the update, but I only get an error screen using the last link you posted. Could you try to simply send us working FTP login details please? If you need further help with FTP login details, then your hosting provider should be able to help you out with that.

    I have contacted the host, they said you have to log in with SFTP and not FTP. I will send you the new credentials in private.
