I uploaded the new enfold to by site and the avia layout builder no longer works. I get a spinning wheel and cannot add new blocks or view what has already been added. I’ve tried:

    – disabling plugins
    – adding a new version of wordpress
    – deleting enfold via ftp and uploading a fresh version

Also checked with my server to see if it was an issue there and it wasn’t. Hoping you can help!

    Hey mbw_lamcreative,
Thanks for the login, I found that you are getting the error:

/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 (Forbidden)

This is typically due to the permissions of the files. Please see this article: How to Fix File and Folder Permissions Error in WordPress
When you updated the site, did you try to overwrite the theme files, or did you upload the new theme in it’s own directory?

    Best regards,
    Mike

I both overwrote the files as well as deleting enfold and uploading a new one completely.

    Hi,

It’s not even possible to save the theme options on your installation, what happens if you deactivate all plugins? I’m especially looking at your security plugin.

    Best regards,

I did that already as stated above. Even the security plugin doesn’t run a scan properly.

    Thanks Mike,

It was the file permissions on a few files that were wrong. As soon as that was fixed, the site went back to normal.
