Hi, Please excuse the total newbie to this. I have some tech competency, but my site was done by a third party. It looks good, I think, but it is really slow. I thought that upgrading Enfold to the latest version would fix the issues, but it actually lowered my page speed from 5 to 1! I got the speed up to a 9 once I discovered the performance page and enabled css and js bundling, installed a cache plugin, and installed an image compression plugin. I’m still wondering how to increase performance further. 9 still is not great.
one more update here: the slowest part of the process, as indicated in the chrome dev tools network tab, is the first step, the loading of worldwidewoodshed.com, with a Waiting (TTFB) measurement of 2.41 seconds. If I go to a simple page on the same website (e.g. https://worldwidewoodshed.com/quickstart.html, an obsolete but simple page), one that does not utilize a theme, that same time is 41ms. I don’t know whether that is a clue to anything.
