    Hi
We made a new website with Enfold and WPML and now we have some problems or things that we do not understand.

The first thing is that sometimes we have “av_button: label” and av_button: link” and sometimes we have only “av_button: label” in the translation editor.

The second thing is that for example the job description of a team member can have new lines in the original language but not in the translation.

See screenshots in the private content section.

    Thanks very much.

    Best regards
    Mike

    Hey Michael,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

The av_button: link entry is only required when you set the links manually, such as for emails or external links. If the link is set to redirect to a post, page, or any built-in content, this field is not required because the theme or WPML automatically redirects the link to the translated version of the content. If you want to edit this manually for every element, make sure to set the link to manual.

We are not sure why it’s not allowed to have new lines in the translation field, unfortunately. Have you tried asking WPML about this?

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael
Ok, this with the redirects to a post, page or any built-in content make sense…
No, we didn’t contact WPML because we thought, that this is an Enfold problem.

    Hi Ismael
    Just another question.
When we set a custom id to access something with #id, we can do it in the original page, but not in the translations.
In the example in the private content section we have set the custom id as “maschinenpark”.
So we can access this page with /lohnfertigung/#maschinenpark.
But in the translations we cannot set this custom id.
    Is that normal?
    Best regards
    Mike

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

Yes, this is normal. The element ID or class name cannot be changed for each language. You will have to use the same anchor for every language.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael
Ok. we edited every page in the normal editor and so we could change the element ID.
Or do you think that could give problems?
    Best regards
    Mike

    Hi,
This sounds like what Ismael was recommending, I also don’t see how this could be an issue.
I see that it has been a couple of days since you have done this so I assume that you have tried clearing your browser cache? that this has been working well for you, would you like us to keep this thread open for a couple more days, or shall we close this then?

    Best regards,
    Mike
