    hello dear team!
i work on an 2 years old website in our development environment, using the theme “Enfold”. Today our client wanted me to delete some elements but i can’t do it, because the icons for instance “Duplicate” oder “Delete” are missing. I use the classic-editor and updated everything so far (WordPress, Enfold and Plugins).
    Can you help me?

    Hi netzwerkstatt,

Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?\

Could you please attach some screenshots of the issue?

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Hi,

Thanks for that. I’m not sure why, but it looks like the whole layout builder window is missing as well. Could you try disabling all plugins to see if that makes any difference please? If not then please try to completely delete the theme folder, then upload a fresh copy after that. https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update. Please make sure that you have backups of the site before attempting this.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hey Rikard,
thank you for your response – yes, that was, what i meant with “the whole classic editor is missing”. I have allready checked the trick deactivating all plugins in the beginning – without any effect.

Now i deleted the theme and installed a fresh Enfold-Version via ftp as you proposed – but desperately the problem still remains.
As a trial i installed the plugin “Classic Editor” but still nothing has changed :(
Do you have any futher proposes??

    Greetings!
    Conny

    Hello!
I solved the problem by switching the toggle in “General Builder Options” – I’m so sorry, but i did not know this feature and never changed it ………. perhaps it came with an update??

Many thanks to all of you, who tried to help me!!
    Cheers an best regards,
    Conny

    Hi Conny,

Great, I’m glad that you got things working again, and thanks for the update. The option to select editor in the theme options came after Gutenberg was introduced into WordPress.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
