    Hi there,

for displaying all my recipes I am using a normal page using Masonry perfect grid and high portrait. For my category pages I would like to have the same style. Can you please tell how to achieve? Would be great. For your better understanding I added links to the pages in question In the private content box.

Wish for you a great day!

    Best regards,
    Sophie

I am looking for the same. I change the blog layout to use the advance editor and simply update the blog page. I do that and the Masonry does not apply to the page.

    Hi,

thank you for giving me the hint. I may forgot to mention that I would love to have the Masonry style for particular recipe categories and tags only. Can you help?

Thanks for all your efforts in this issue.

    Kind regards,
    Sophie

    Hi,

Instead of using the tag.php and the archive.php you can use specified with the name of the taxonomy / archive, so it should load only for those.

    Hi,

thank you for the info. What code do you mean exactly by saying “Instead of using the tag.php and the archive.php you can use specified with the name of the taxonomy / archive, so it should load only for those”?

It’s not clear to me since there are a lot of links now that I should refer to, but which one is the right one?

Really do appreciate all your help. Thank you so much in advance.

    Best regards,
    Sophie

    Hi,

so, I did as per advised in this post https://kriesi.at/support/topic/ (Purchase code hidden if logged out)(Purchase code hidden if logged out) -like-avia-masonry-grid/#post-661134, but still the category and tag etc. archive pages do not look like my blog page.

Please kindly find the corresponding link to my website in private content page. This is how I would like to have my category and tag archive pages, but the code in the a/m link does not work.

Do really appreciate all your help to solve this issue. Thank you in advance.

    KInd regards,
    Sophie

    Hi Sophie,

I don’t see the code added anywhere, have you removed it? What do you mean it didn’t work, did it cause the error?

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    #994825

    Hi Victoria,

yes, as I wrote before I removed the code, because that did not work. Sorry for not expressing myself clearly enough. The code did not cause an error directly, but the archive and tag pages show the single blog posts in full instead of my requested masonry grid as per my blog page layout (link in the private content box).

I hope this helps. Thank you for your kind help in advance.

    Kind regards,
    Sophie

    Hi,

Creating this kind of layout is not possible without customizing the templates. It would be possible but requires time intensive coding and is beyond the scope of our support forum.

As a workaround you could build a separate page for each category (based on the template you used for the “Rezepte” page) and then use a plugin like https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/redirection/ to redirect all category urls to these pages.

I.e. you could build a custom page called “Kuchen und Torten”. Make it a child page of “Rezepte”, then the url of this page should be “https://website.com/rezepte/kuchen-und-torten/”. Then redirect the category url “https:/website.com/kategorie/rezepte/kuchen-und-torten/” to “https://website.com/rezepte/kuchen-und-torten/” and the website visitors will only see this page.

    Hi,

thank you for the update. I don’t want the archive and tag pages to look the same, only the masonry element, not the whole page layout. I think I will leave it like it is, since a plugin is not an option for me. Thanks anyway.

Can you please remove the links to my website in your a/m post, this should not be public. Thank you.

    Best regards,
    Sophie
