Hello I took over a website that has no child theme. When updating manually the site layout is destroyed. The previous developer stated that he was able to update since 2018 without issue until September 2021 by manually uploading the files via FTP, this no longer works.
Do you have any recommendations as to how we would be able to update the theme without issue?
And what would we have to do to avoid this in the future.

Thank you very much for your time,

    Hey Pierre,

Did you register your theme license? https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/

    Best regards,

Hi Rikard yes we did. Created a token and the site is connected to Envato.

    Hi,

Please try to install and configure this plugin instead: https://envato.com/market-plugin/

Hi Rikard installed both API tokens in the theme and in Envato Market plugin and we still get the same result when updating.

    Hi,

Please copy the site to a staging area and update there first, so that we can see the actual problem.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi AudioSuites2018,

We don’t release separate versions for mobile and desktop, so someone has likely renamed the other versions. If you need further help with this, then please open a new thread and include WordPress admin login details in private, so that we can have a closer look at your site.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
