    I have a patch that solves a shortcode problem that is similar to your issues, I could apply it to your site via FTP to see if it solves if you wish.
    But as this is not your thread your private info (login) won’t be private here.
    I recommend opening a new thread with your admin login and FTP access in the Private Content area, and then post a link to it here so I can find it.

    Hi,
    @jojoba007, this has to be done via FTP, but you didn’t include FTP access, if you would like me to assist please include.
    @mikehenze, below is the link, please follow these steps, extract the zip and upload via FTP to your theme folder as “enfold-new”, then change your current theme folder to “enfold-old”, then change this one to “enfold” and refresh your site and check for the error.
    If your site crashes, change the new one back to “enfold-new” and your old one back to “enfold”
    If all goes well and it solves the error, and you are happy, then delete “enfold-old” via FTP – Not through the WordPress theme settings.
    If it doesn’t help at all, then I will need FTP & admin access so I can try to document the issue for the dev team.

    Hi @Mike, this works fine.

    Can the fix be implemented in a new enfold version so it is save to update?
    Or otherwise maybe you can provide the files that we can put into the child theme we use?

    Hi,

    @jojoba007    , sorry, the ftp access is not working for me, it times out when trying to reach the host, and sftp doesn’t work either.
    Is this FTP or SFTP?
    I also tried to use a Dutch VPN in case my IP was being blocked.
    do you have any other info?


    @mikehenze     do you mean that this solved your issue? This was an early release of the next update, so yes when the update comes out it will have the fix in it.

    @Mike It’s sFtp. If you use something like filezilla you should also put sftp:// in front of the server adres in order to establish the connection.

    Hello,

    I have a similar problem, with shortcodes not working in a custom template built for wordpress download manager documents. When would the update with the fix be available ? If it’s further than a couple days, would there be a way to get this new version of enfold (I have a least a dozen website that would need it, so giving the FTP credentials for all of them would be annoying…)

    Hi,
    @jaimbateman I will post the link again, but please note that this is not the official update, and we ask that you follow the instructions above just in case that your site crashes. I don’t recommend using it on every site, just the ones you have an issue with, because it is not the retail version.

    Hi Mike,

    And thank you. There is one site, really, where the bug greatly hinders functionalities (a whole submenu integrated with shortcodes in a custom template for documents pages “disappears”), so it’s mostly for this one that I asked…

    Hi,
    Thank you for the FTP access, I renamed your current theme to “enfold-old” then I uploaded the new “enfold” and checked that your site is working correctly. Please also check for yourself.
    Once you are happy you, (or I) can delete the “enfold-old” via ftp, (not the WP theme page)
    Should for some reason you wish to roll-back to the old version, it’s easy to do, simply rename the new “enfold” to “enfold-new” via ftp and then rename “enfold-old” to “enfold” then refresh your page.

    The contact form is now working, Please see the screenshot & link in Private Content area.
    Please clear your browser cache and check.

    The dev team has released the update yesterday Enfold v4.5.5, please try updating your site to see if that corrects it.
