I want to use the custom link to images in a Masonry Gallery, high resolution for the press and media. The Image Link setting “Lightbox linking deactivated. (Custom links will still be used)” only works with link to html pages not to image link. Is it possibly?

I want the gallery picture to link to the original version of the same picture but not in a lightbox (i upload a high resolution version). Exactly as it now but not in a lightbox because it is much more difficult for journalists to download the high res image when in a lightbox.
Off cause there is a other ways to get this results but masonry gallery is easy to use för my client who are going to be Editor for the site.

Why would it be difficult to download? They can download the image the same as when it is opened in a new tab. Anyway, is it OK if the lightbox script is disabled completely? You can disable the “Lightbox Modal Window” option in the Theme Options.
