    Hi there,

    sorry to bother you.
    I’ve ineherited a client who has a website with the Enfold Theme. I can not find any updates for it, but is on version 4.5.1. Of course this is not working anymore with older PHP versions, so i cant upgrade the server. On Themeforest, i see version 5.6 is available. I’m happy to buy this new version, but will the site be upgraded correctly after such a version leep?

    How do i get a license for this latest version? Just buy it at Themeforest on my account, and connect WP to this Themeforest account in the Theme Options section? It says that the API is deprecated.

    In short:
    – how do i get to the lateste version?
    – will this solve the website problems/php problems?
    – how do i update

    Hey Dick,

    If you purchase a new licence, then you will get the latest version of the theme. Once you have access to the theme files, then please try to update manually:

    You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

    If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.
