Hi, I recently upgraded my theme from Version 5.7.1. to Version 6.0.3. The staging website that is running 6.0.3 layout has shrunk now on some of my portfolio pages. Any advice would be helpful to fix. I have included a video as well as the website and staging website in the private area. Thanks
August 29, 2024 at 12:31 am #1465622I just updated to 6.0.3 too and got problems with my membership plugin that suddenly locked products so I couldn’t sell or delete stuff. In the end I gave up trying to fix it and did a ‘backup and restore’ from before I updated the theme but that just made it even worse. The restoration of the database kept failing and I spend all day with support trying to fix it. They finally got it back up but in pieces and all the users are missing plus I can’t edit menus… and a few other little issues. I just thought you might like to know that there may be a bug in the new version.
August 29, 2024 at 6:56 am #1465636Hi,
@hitrev: In the live site, you have this code in the custom.css file which adjusts the maximum width of the container:.responsive .container { max-width: 1510px; }
@Louisekoch: This might have nothing to do with the theme, but rather with the plugins you’re using. Make sure to toggle or temporarily disable the Enfold > Performance > File Compression settings, and make sure to purge the cache after every update. If the issue occurs again in the future, please open another thread and post the login details in the private field.Best regards,
IsmaelAugust 29, 2024 at 9:13 pm #1465711Thanks – It looks like the custom css file is being overridden when I update the theme. Is the best solution for this to install a child theme?
August 30, 2024 at 10:03 am #1465739Hi hitrev,
You can adjust the container width under Enfold->General Layout, so you don’t need the CSS in question. If you want to install a child theme, then you can download one here: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/child-theme/
Best regards,
