Hi, I just updated Enfold and unfortunately the Sliders not working anymore .(
Page is showing the Shortcodes instead… [layerslider id=“1″]Any idea to fix this?
April 25, 2018 at 1:08 pm #946552Seemed to be a cache problem.
Deactivating W3 Total Cache makes the Sliders work again.
If you have Problems to reactivate the Cache plugin, delete the drop-in files in /wp-content/:
advanced-cache.php
db.php
object-cache.phpThen reactivate W3 Total Cache :)
Greetz!
April 25, 2018 at 1:48 pm #946569OK… :( Still the same problem after reactivating Cache :(
April 25, 2018 at 2:01 pm #946581I am using WP Super Cache but disabling it doesn’t change a thing …
April 25, 2018 at 2:12 pm #946588@two_worlds: Same Problem?
April 25, 2018 at 2:36 pm #946597Yes, same problem, but it doesn’t even show the shortcode, just a blank space
April 25, 2018 at 3:06 pm #946614Hi,
LayerSlider shortcodes do not work unless there is Advanced LayerSlider element on the page. This is either related to LayerSlider update but most probably performance changes we made in Enfold 4.3. Please use Advanced LayerSlider element under Media Elements tab of Advanced Layout Builder for time being. We have already informed our devs :)
Cheers!
YigitApril 25, 2018 at 3:20 pm #946624Hey Yigit and thx for the answer! But look – the implementation of Layerslider via module and via shortcode gives different results.
There is a lot of work done to make it fit in all resolutions and so on.
Its a “no go” that shortcodes should not work anymore… clients are no beta tester… Please help out to fix this!Thx for support!
FrankApril 26, 2018 at 10:15 am #947158I have the same problem

May 3, 2018 at 6:52 am #950507Hi WebbR,
Layer Slider has to be added via the Advanced Layout Builder element, otherwise, it will not work at this point.
The Layer Slider has the screen options inside of it, you can control display in the Layer Slider options. If you need further assistance please let us know.
Best regards,

May 3, 2018 at 8:50 am #950567Dear Enfold / KRIESI Team, dear Victoria!
The shortcode embed of Layerslider is a regular feature of Layerslider that worked before.
Now – after forcing me to reinstal that broken version your answer is that it will not work anymore?
Are you serious? I’m sure many people using the shortcode for many various reasons!
Its not acceptable for a payed PREMIUM Theme just to disable a functionality of an other plugin!
I bought about at least 10 Licenses for me and my clients – we are using shortcodes in many ways!So PLEASE, fix this – it is a BUG!
Best Regards!
FrankMay 3, 2018 at 11:29 am #950678I have the same problem.
A solution would be to create a “blank” and small empty slider in layerslider, and then add it to your page using ALB Layerslider element (and maybe make it disappear with CSS with display: none; ).
Then, all shortcodes from layerslider on this page will work againBut this is no permanent solution..
