So, I’ve added an advanced layer slider to most pages on the site here – http://www.justinsparkslaw.com/. Using Google’s PageSpeed Insights Tool (https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/), I have a Mobile Speed score on most pages in the 40’s when the slider’s are there, and page scores for Mobile Speed jump up to the 70’s when I remove the slider.

Let’s have a look at this page as an example – http://www.justinsparkslaw.com/theft-fraud/credit-card/…

You can see the slider at the top of this page. Here’s an image showing the Mobile Page Speed with and without the slider on this page….

I’ve tried everything I can think of to improve this mobile score — drastically reduced that big background image file size, optimized using WP Super Cache, WP Smush, Autoptimize, BWP Minify. None of this helps. The only think that helps is removing the slider altogether…. but I’d like to use the slider…. any suggestions?

    Hi umbrella8!

You can go to LayerSlider WP > Your Slider > Slider Settings > Layout and choose to hide your slider on mobile – http://i.imgur.com/od2ExXB.png
