Please
could you help us:
our web site have some layer slides that link to a different hostname on SkinsPath and images src that we never used for admin operation.
We analyzed the mysql table and the script of the plugin but we dodn’t find any ref to this hostname.
Could you explain where this information is saved?
We’ve already resaved the layer slide. We have also exported and reimported the layer slide to be sure all refs were correct.
As soon as possible.
Thank you.

FedericaApril 20, 2016 at 9:02 am #618077Hi!
We are trying to login to the site but it’s not working. We noticed that the ibteurope and ibtgroup look the same. Did you duplicate the site from one another? How did you transfer the database?

May 26, 2016 at 10:05 am #638613Hi!
Sorry for the late.
The site is only one but there are multiple hostname dns entries that point it.
But the problem is in the layerslider plugin that renders the slide without relative URL (even if the flag is enabled in the setting of each layerslide).
We made a test in another website where we installed the enfold theme:
We entered admin dashboard with https://xxxx, we uploaded one image, created one layerslide and inserted it into a page.
Then, as anonymous, we visited the page with http://xxx and we verified that the source code referred the image with https://xxxx.
The side effect is that user is not able to display slide because the browser stops the loading of the image for security reasons.Thank you.
FedericaMay 27, 2016 at 6:07 am #639093Hi,
It’s been a while. What if you install an ssl plugin? Try the following:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-force-ssl/
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-force-https/
https://wordpress.org/plugins/https-redirection/
https://wordpress.org/plugins/really-simple-ssl/These plugins will prevent the site from being access via http.

IsmaelMay 27, 2016 at 10:51 am #639204Hi Ismael
maybe I not explained well the problem.
The case: we enter, as administrator, the web site with a hostname http://www.x.com and we create a layerslider. Then a user access the site with its alias http://www.y.com but the skinspath and the images source have links to the http://www.x.com and they are not URL relative as expected.
In the same way if we enter as administrator with secure protocol https://www.x.com and we save the layerslide then the final user access the site
http://www.x.com and cannot see the images because the code refers to https://www.x.com.
The problem is that the layerslider plugin does not respect relative url setting.
FedericaMay 28, 2016 at 4:49 am #639651Hi,
I’m a bit confused about this but maybe if we can access the site, we’ll find the issue. We tried to access the dashboard but the login credentials above are not working. Is there some kind of redirection? You may want to contact your hosting provider for additional help.

IsmaelMay 30, 2016 at 8:31 am #640172Hi Ismael
look at the private content for the access.
The use of this plugin (layerslider) is causing a lot of problems with the customer, which, randomly, is not able to display the sliders in some pages.
We want that all code refer to link in private but, we don’t know why, some times the slider refers to images as shown in website link. None is accessing with these urls as administrator.
And analysing the tables there aren’t rows that contains them.
This morning I found the layerslider 66 that refer to the link. I saved it another time and than it started to work correctly. I cannot fix manually every morning the sliders!
Please help us to solve this problem.
Thank you.

May 31, 2016 at 4:59 am #640668Hi,
Did you import these sliders from the “it” or “wp” site? There are tons of them in there and maybe they are not transferred correctly. We edited the first slide in the “Header Home IT” slider. The image (see private) now points to the “at” site instead of the “it” site. I’m afraid that you will have to modify each slider and re-set the image. How did you first encounter this issue?

May 31, 2016 at 8:32 am #640739Hi Ismael,
we didn’t import the slides, but before publish the website we used the link address to allow the costumer the content insertion.
Then we changed the url of the site from wp.ibtgroup.at to link in private and add to DNS level the alias link.
I have already fixed all URL referements in the tables with the plugin “Search & Replace”.
But after some days, the plugin layerslide resumes old urls .. and I don’t find this urls in the table of the layerslider or in files of the system.
So I don’t understand how this plugin works.
Please I need information to solve this problem definitively: I cannot ask to the customer to insert about 130 layers another time.
Thank you federica- This reply was modified 8 years, 1 month ago by Andy.
June 1, 2016 at 5:27 am #641208Hi,
Actually, I don’t have any idea why this is happening either but I guess it’s because of the “change address process”. Did you check the _layerslider table and the sliders’ data column? You can find the url of the attached images there.

IsmaelJune 7, 2016 at 9:20 am #643888Hi Ismael,
l’m fixing to the 130 sliders controlling the url inserted in the date field Because They are inserted with the encoded backslash .
The problem is related to guid of the Images, they stored the old urls ( https : // or old wp.ibtgroup.at ). So the layersliders get the same wrong urls and don’t manage them as relative.
I tried to migrate site in a different server and test the replacement of the guid of the media with a search and replace plugin . All the site is rendered well but when i try to create a new page it seems there be some problems . I’ll continue to test and I keep you informed.

IsmaelJune 15, 2016 at 5:04 pm #648737Hi Ismael
i updated all slider from backend (myphpadmin)…now after many days user cannot display the layer 59.
From table in phpmyadmin the data is correct all the url is [see 1. link in private] but in the source code of the browser I see the images loaded as [see 2. in private]……
After I resaved the slider from dashboard wordpress the slide become visible…
but I cannot understand why the theme or the plugin of the slider randomly load src images and skin as https://….
The slider plugin has a cache management…is possible to clear the cache? Is possible the cache creates this kind of problems? Please could you verify.

June 18, 2016 at 3:47 am #650063Hi,
Are you referring to the Advanced > Use slider markup caching settings? Did you try to disable it?

I’m not really sure why this is happening. Did you contact your hosting provider regarding the issue? Do you own the “dszcy6” domain?
