Since yesterday, I am getting an error on any page with a layered slider on it. I am also getting errors in the layered slider plugin setting and slider set up in the back office. Here is the type of code I am getting.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end, expecting ‘)’ in /home3/username/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-layerslider/LayerSlider/helpers/phpQuery.php on line 4317

Any ideas? I have updated WP to the newest version and Enfold to the newest version.

    Hi ttippmann!

    Thank you for using Enfold.

Did you install layer slider as a stand alone plugin? Please try to deactivate the cache and minify plugin then test it again.

    Regards,
    Ismael

    Hey!

You need to install the DOMDocument PHP extension or update your PHP version on your server. The new version uses phpQuery at several points and this library requires that PHP extension.
This is a common extension, which is a part of PHP by default. Some hosting services might disable it for some reason, but it shouldn’t be a problem for most of the cases. We are looking for ways how we could solve this, but at the moment that library and the plugin depends on this extension.
Talk to your web host support about this mbregex/mb_eregi() function support on your server.

    Regards,
    Basilis
