8379 [Fri Jan 19 10:19:55 2018] [error] [client] AH01215: PHP Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home/sites/ hp/shortcode-parser.class.php on line 2556: /home/sites/

@ruffidea please update your PHP version to at least 5.6. Better to 7.1. Most hosting providers allow switching the PHP version from their customer control panel.

    Thank you @mensmaximus
    Should the effect be immediate?
I have switched to PHP7 (the highest they would allow me to go) and the site is still inaccessible……

@ruffidea yes the effect would be immediate (if the hosting provider has no delay). Maybe an other plugin now has an issue with PHP7. Can you switch to PHP 5.6?

@mensmaximus OK swictched to 5.6 still no joy. I have asked the hosting provider to check that I have done the switch properly and that the PHP version has updated accordingly……

Could you please try replacing public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-template-builder/php/shortcode-parser.class.php file with this one – via FTP and check if that helps?
