I followed every single step in this post https://kriesi.at/support/topic/having-problems-after-updating-to-wordpress-4-5-please-read-this-first/
When I get to the last step to edit functions.php trying to bring that up in Appearance > Editor says “Invalid Download”.
Help! I can’t edit any of my pages.

May 19, 2016 at 7:15 pm #635430Hey strengthcoaching,
I see the issue is only when trying to edit the functions.php file for either the Enfold child or the parent theme and also the other theme you have installed as well.
Please deactivate all plugins one by one to check which one is causing this issue and let us know if this solves the problem.
In addition to that, please let us know if we are allowed to deactivate one or more of your plugins as well for testing purposes :)Best regards,
JordanMay 26, 2016 at 3:45 am #638413Wordfence 6.1.7 is the offender.
May 26, 2016 at 3:57 am #638420Hey!
Glad you found it! Please disable the firewall in Wordfence and check or use an alternate plugin https://kriesi.at/support/topic/recommended-plugins/
Cheers!
VinayMay 26, 2016 at 3:58 am #638421Doesn’t disabling the firewall kind of defeat the purpose of the plugin?
May 26, 2016 at 4:04 am #638427Hey!
Yes but we have had a few request from people who prefer to use it that way however you you choose to use another plugin for this purpose please feel free to do so :)
Regards,
VinayMay 26, 2016 at 4:06 am #638428I looked through the list you linked and don’t see an alternative to Wordfence. Can you recommend one?
May 26, 2016 at 5:22 am #638451Hi,

Best regards,
