I read at some point that someone needed to install the latest version of enfold via FTP to deal with some issue going on with WOO due to issues your developers were having with API. I am seeing an error on the lefthand side of a product page. I did not create a child-theme but have made changes to the settings on the site:
I am curious what the recommended way to update the theme to correct the errors I am seeing on the product pages. I have purchased the latest version of Enfold to do so. I appreciate the feedback!

Thanks for the link, I’m not sure where to find your product pages though? Please link directly to an example page where we can see the problem.
Best regards,
RikardMarch 8, 2019 at 9:29 pm #1076472Thanks Rikard! Here is the link…
Again, I saw elsewhere that this could be remedied with a brand new version of Enfold being uploaded? Maybe by FTP? But what I don’t wish to loose are the sites settings.
Thanks for having a look!
March 10, 2019 at 6:50 am #1076902Hi,
Thanks for that, I see that you are running an old version of the theme so an update should hopefully fix the problem you are getting. The update to 4.5.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the theme folder, then install the new one after that. Please make sure to have backups of the site before updating, in case something should go wrong.
Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/

Thanks so much. The update worked. Now, I am seeing some strange things with the mobile version… the menu is all black when you click on it and I don’t see the words until I place my finger on them, and then… they seem to jumble or something. Also, the layer slider is not adjusting for width responsively. I appreciate your support!
Kindly,

Thanks for the update, I see the same problem on my end. Please try the following in Quick CSS under Enfold->General Styling:
#av-burger-menu-ul a { color: #fff; }
Best regards,
RikardMarch 18, 2019 at 4:19 pm #1079942Dear Richard,
Thanks for that. I tried it, but no change is visible. Also we have the slider not showing up properly on mobile. What might cause this? It doesn’t scale and fit within the screen size. Thank you!

March 18, 2019 at 10:27 pm #1080113Hi George,
Here is the code you can put in Enfold > General Styling > Quick Css, if it does not work, put into themes/enfold/css/custom.css
.html_av-overlay-side #top #wrap_all .av-burger-overlay-scroll #av-burger-menu-ul a { color: #fff; }
If you need further assistance please let us know.
Best regards,
VictoriaMarch 18, 2019 at 10:57 pm #1080133Thank you Victoria! I will give this a try. Is the issue with the menu affecting the Layer slider also? If that is a separate issue, how is that handled?
Many thanks,
-GeorgeMarch 21, 2019 at 7:05 am #1081195Hi George,
I checked the LayerSlider on your front page and it seems to scale fine on my end. Could you post a screenshot of the problem and how to reproduce it please?
Best regards,
RikardMarch 25, 2019 at 11:05 pm #1082866Hi Rikard,
I am sending you this screen shot. Sorry for the delay. It is only happening with one slider. I wonder if somewhere a setting got thrown off for this one?
Many thanks,
-GeorgeMarch 29, 2019 at 2:53 am #1084387Hi,
Did you add the image as a layer? Try to set it as the slider background or create another layer using the same image and then toggle both layers’ device visibility. Also, you have the option to hide the layer slider on mobile view and replace it with a different slider or element.
Best regards,
