No that is not our responsibility. If you want to keep backups of your site then there are plenty of options out there for you to chose from.

I have version 3.3.2 of the theme ENFOLD and I want to upgrade to version 4.4 that I purchased. Do I have to install the theme as an add-on or is there a different way to upgrade?

The latest version of the theme is 4.5, please try updating to that instead. You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
