Hi,
Just tried installing GTM on my child theme as instructed here https://kriesi.at/support/topic/tag-head-and-body/
This seems to have NOT place the TGM code in the exact location it needs to be
To remind you, google is asking for the <script> part to be “as high in the <head> of the page as possible”
and the <nonscript> part to be “immediately after the opening <body> tag”When checking with the Tag assistant I get these 2 errors:
Invalid or missing account ID —> it is valid, I tripled checked
Code found outside of <body> tag- This topic was modified 7 years, 10 months ago by Dee007.
January 3, 2017 at 9:39 pm #729153Hey Dee007,
It should work if the code is added to functions.php file however we need to take a closer look please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.
Login credentials include:
- The URL to the login screen.
- A valid username (with full administration capabilities).
- As well as a password for that username.
- permission to deactivate plugins if necessary.
Let us know if you noticed any error message in console after adding the script ?
Best regards,
VinayJanuary 3, 2017 at 9:43 pm #729157Hi Vinay

When checking with the Tag assistant I get these 2 errors:
Invalid or missing account ID —> it is valid, I tripled checked – OK THIS IS A GOOGLE ISSUE NM
Code found outside of <body> tag – this is not A Google issue…- This reply was modified 7 years, 10 months ago by Dee007.
January 3, 2017 at 9:52 pm #729163Hey Dee007!
Thanks a lot for using enfold.
That is not the actually case.
Google suggets that for secure reasons, to be sure that results come and go, but if you test it and it is working fine
then you are OK.Let us know if your tests fails and we can see other solutions

February 1, 2017 at 12:58 pm #741184The Google Tag Manager instruction here
February 3, 2017 at 6:08 pm #742499Hi,
normally we can’t provide support for any 3rd party plugins/programs, as written in our support policy. So there is no step by step instruction for this. Simply follow what Vinay was saying and put the code he provided into your functions.php.

AndyMay 25, 2017 at 3:22 am #799317Hi, could you please remove my domain name from the tags on this thread.

May 26, 2017 at 5:53 am #799983Hi,
Thanks for the feedback, I can’t see any tags either though. Did you edit your post? You have to give the SERPS at least a week or two to be updated.
Best regards,
RikardMay 26, 2017 at 6:11 pm #800295No… For some reason that is not available to me.
see screenshotMay 28, 2017 at 9:19 pm #800890Hi,
If you can not get it going, please consider to hire a freelancer to help you with the integration.
IT is not something easy and if done wrong, you will get completely false data which will harm your business.Best regards,

May 30, 2017 at 7:52 pm #801644Hi,
Google Tag manager is something sensitive, on how it will write data, it will work and what information it will give back.
If you do not manage to do it with the directions provided from my team mates, then it should be easier to hire someone to help you with the task and to be sure that you are getting the proper informations back to the tag manager with no errors.Best regards,
BasilisMay 30, 2017 at 9:01 pm #801661@Basilis , did you read the whole thread through?
Did you see the recent comment I added (May 25, 2017 at 3:22 am) after not being active on this thread since Feb?
It has NOTHING to do with what you are commenting on.
Please re-read the thread or sync up with @RikardYou guys respond so fast, which is amazing for support team, and some of you are straight up rock stars.
But, very often you feel uncoordinated and unevenly knowledgeable
I rather wait, have you actually read full threads, see what was said before and by who, and only then add a commentThanks
June 3, 2017 at 5:14 am #803240Hi,
Thank you for the update.
Instead of doing the previous modifications, please try the following plugin which automatically renders the google tag manager script on every page. All you need to do is add your account ID.
// https://wordpress.org/plugins/google-tag-manager/

IsmaelJune 3, 2017 at 6:35 pm #803431Not sure what is happening here but it seems there is a communication issue
all I did is ask for you to remove my domain name from the tags on this thread….
Please review the whole thread or talk to @Rikard he seems to be the only one who got what I was asking…thanks
June 4, 2017 at 6:14 am #803493Hi,
Sorry about the confusion, I’ve looked through the whole thread again and I can’t see any domain names in the public info or in any tags. Please note that it can take weeks for SERPs to be updated, could you wait for at least a week and then check again please?
Regards,
RikardJune 5, 2017 at 8:03 pm #804115Sure
June 6, 2017 at 8:27 am #804384Hi,
I’m sorry about that. I thought you’re still looking for a solution. Anyway, I find the domain name but it is listed in the private field so it’s not trackable or crawlable. We removed it just in case.
Best regards,
IsmaelJune 6, 2017 at 5:45 pm #804615Thank you!
