    I’m getting flagged by my webhost (DreamHost) for a site compromise. Here’s the issue:

    The following files/directories had insecure permissions (777), which have been remediated.
    /home/bvdesign/bigvisiondesign.com/wp-content/uploads/dynamic_avia

    Is this okay? Does the 777 permission allow me to make edits to the site or has something malicious changed the permission settings?

    Hey phausner,

    Don’t use 777, try to change it to 755.
