I created a child theme for Enfold in WordPress and had to import the work done in the Parent (using your blog post).
My question is: when Enfold updates come out and I update the parent, will I have problems with those updates transferring to the Child because I imported data from the Parent?

If you moved all modified files (in case you modified any) to your child theme, there will not be any issues. All files on the parent theme will be overwritten and the ones in child theme will be safe.
