Hello, I’ve tried just about every solution I can find from the forums and I continue to receive the following error:
“Importing didnt work! you might want to try reloading the page and then try again”
I have tried in increasing the memory limit, and max-memory limit for admin. I’ve tried different browsers, clearing cache, and disabling all plugins. I’ve checked the server settings for cpanel and everything is fine. We have multiple other Enfold development sites working off the same domain with no issue. I have purchased and installed Enfold countless times and never come across this issue before. I was specifically trying to import the construction theme – I didn’t try any other demo so I don’t know if it’s isolated to this particular demo or not.

Thanks for the login details, it’s not working when I try it either. Could you make sure that you have the correct file permissions for your uploads folder please? http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-fix-file-and-folder-permissions-error-in-wordpress/

RikardApril 19, 2017 at 6:48 pm #780084Hey, so I double checked file permissions and all looks good (see screenshots attached). I really don’t care ‘WHY’ it’s not working atm, I just need to get this site going. Do you have an installation zip of the construction demo theme that you can just throw in there? If this happens again with another dev site then I might delve deeper into the reason why it’s not working, but right now I just need to started on developing this site. Thanks so much.

BasilisApril 20, 2017 at 7:39 pm #780725Hi,
Defining a higher memory limit in WordPress and if possible increasing the memory on the hosting server should resolve this issue.
To increase the WordPress memory limit please access wp-config.php file and add the below line
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');
For a detailed explanation please check this link http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP
and you can contact your service provider to increase the memory limit.Alternatively demo data can be imported using XML file from Admin > Tools > Import > WordPress
Make sure to check the option “Download and import file attachments” while importing.Please note this will not import the theme settings you may need to set them up and upload if any images are missing from backend once the XML file is imported.
Best regards,
VinayMay 15, 2019 at 9:44 am #1100932Hi, I have the same problem, when importing the theme takes no pictures and I get the message that the import failed.
May 16, 2019 at 5:31 am #1101236Hi dsignroom,
Please open a new thread and include WordPress admin login details in private so that we can have a closer look at your site.
You could also try to import the demo manually: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/import-demos/#manual-demo-import–using-xml-files-
Best regards,
