Hi,
i’m using enfold with the last wordpress update.
In some of the pages of my website i’m using “Masonry Gallery”
Today I uploaded and added some new images in these galleries, but, opening the images in my website from my PC, some appears smaller than others, although all images are in high-resolution. They don’t open large on the whole screen available, but remain scaled and small.
I checked in the settings into the Masonry Gallery if it is possible to change the resolution of the images once opened, but there is no setting available.
Any tips?
Best regards and thanks.July 5, 2019 at 10:07 am #1115990Hey Real-3D,
Thank you for sharing the details.
When you insert the image from the media gallery please make sure to select the full size in the attachment settings.
Best regards,
VinayJuly 5, 2019 at 4:24 pm #1116064Hi and thanks for your kind reply.
I was sure this setting was there time ago, in images settings of the gallery, but now it is disappeared and I can’t choose the image dimension.
How can I do, or where can i find this setting?
Thanks and best regardsJuly 6, 2019 at 7:40 pm #1116321Hi,
Sorry for the late reply, I believe you are not seeing this setting because you are using Enfold v4.4.1 & WordPress v5.2.2
Please try updating your site to the Enfold version v4.5.7The easiest and safest way to do this is to download the newest version from Theme Forest and rename your current theme to “enfold-old” via ftp then upload the new “enfold” and check that your site is working correctly.
Once you are happy you can delete the “enfold-old” via ftp, (not the WP theme page)
Should for some reason you wish to roll-back to the old version, it’s easy to do, simply rename the new “enfold” to “enfold-new” via ftp and then rename “enfold-old” to “enfold” then refresh your page.
Please don’t try to overwrite the theme folder, as this will leave old files behind and cause errors.Best regards,
MikeJuly 10, 2019 at 2:26 pm #1117474Hi,
sorry for my late reply, too. Thanks for the help.
Is there a guide to update the theme via ftp, as you said?
I’ve never done this step and i’m afraid to delete all my website!
Thanks and best regards.July 10, 2019 at 2:51 pm #1117480A precisation: i’ve never used ftp uploads with my website.
Is it possible to upload the theme in another way, for example from my wordpress settings of my website?
Is it safe?
Thanks againJuly 10, 2019 at 5:35 pm #1117513In addition, I have a child-theme that, reading on some guides, it was recommended to use in the sites unlike the “official” theme.
Are the steps the same for the update of the child theme?
Thanks againJuly 10, 2019 at 7:41 pm #1117551Hi Real-3D,
Basically, you update the parent theme.
Here are the steps to follow:

VictoriaJuly 11, 2019 at 4:26 pm #1117843Hi and thanks.
I’ve uploades the last version of Enfold theme (downloaded fron Themeforest) using the plugin “Update Theme and Plugins from Zip File”, as said in the link you provided.
I now have my enfold-child theme and the enfold 4.5.7 theme, but nothing seems to be changed in the settings i need to modify in my masonry gallery.
Probably i have not installed properly the theme?
Did I miss something?
Do you have any advices?
Thank a lot and best regardsJuly 16, 2019 at 3:53 am #1119020Hi,
Thank you for the update.
We are not seeing the issue with the masonry gallery anymore. Is this fixed? The thumbnails or images look consistent now.
Best regards,
IsmaelJuly 16, 2019 at 4:33 pm #1119190Hi and thanks.
No, the images are the same and the issue is not yet resolved: i didn’t change anithing about the images size, and i dn’t know if i installed the theme in the correct way. In fact, i don’t find the settings to modify the size of the images in the masonry gallery…
Probably the theme has not installed property in my enfold-child…?
Thanks,

BasilisJuly 18, 2019 at 9:28 am #1119855Hi and thanks.
I tried to install the plugin you suggested, but in the settings it probably changes all the thumbnails i’ve set in my website, and i’m afraid it changes irrimediately my images settings.I think this plugin is not the solution: my problem is that i’m not sure if i’ve updated correctly the enfold theme, because i don’t see the correct settings i should see in the masonry gallery, as suggested in the answers above.
I uploaded the last version of the theme (4.5.7), but, having a child theme, I don’t know if I need to update my current child-theme, and how to do it in safety without making a mess.
I’ve updated in the private content a link with some images to explain better my issue.
Thanks and best regards,
MattiaJuly 19, 2019 at 12:04 pm #1120146Hi,
You can’t select the size of the images in the masonry gallery because the size used in that element is established in advanced or predefined. I don’t know how @vinay get that screenshot, but that option is not available for the masonry gallery items.
Are you trying to change the size of the image used in the lightbox? If so, go to the Settings > Media panel, then adjust the size of the “large” thumbnail. That’s the thumbnail size used in the lightbox. You may need to re-upload the images or use the following plugin to regenerate the thumbnails.
// https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

IsmaelJuly 19, 2019 at 12:31 pm #1120157Hi and thanks.
I tried to modify the settings you suggested in the Settings > media and re-uploading an image, and it seems to be ok now.
I raised all the values by setting a high random value.
I ask you if is there an ideal value that you can suggest me to insert that can fit all the images I upload, and I ask if raising these values will change something in my site in addition to the new images I upload.
Thanks for the support and best regardsJuly 22, 2019 at 10:39 am #1120793Hi,
You should consider adjusting it base on the size of the original images that you’re planning to use. It really depends on you. And the adjustment will affect any elements that are using the “large” thumbnail.
