Hello to you all, I’m from France and I’ve a major problem on my admin interface… since a few days I don’t see what I’m writing ! Text in white colour with white background…
The tool box for text editor is also gone…. very sad and tuff to write some nice fresh new articles…
See the print screen below
http://www.veto-urgence.com/writinginwp.jpg
I tried some different techniques described on the net about this issue but nothing works… may it be related to the theme ? You would be so king if you could help me to rule that out !
Cheers !
March 9, 2016 at 4:21 pm #595648Hey chaumix01630!
You are currently using an older version of the theme. Please update Enfold to the latest version 3.4.7 – kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Cheers!
YigitMarch 9, 2016 at 10:26 pm #595862Thank you Yigit !
I tried to update my theme with the two different ways…
Right now I’ve got the message :
No Updates available. You are running the latest version! (3.4.7)
And nothing changed… what should I do ?
Tks !

Vinay KashyapMarch 10, 2016 at 1:23 pm #596272Hi & thank you Vinay but it didn’t changed anything. I still can’t see what I write.

March 11, 2016 at 8:11 am #596744Hi!
The below CSS in editor.min.css is causing the change in the editor text color. By changing #FFF to #000 the text will appear black.
See if you can replace it in both editor.css and editor.min.css using a text editor and Ctrl + F (find and replace)
.js .tmce-active .wp-editor-area { color: #fff; }
If this don’t work send us your FTP details
Cheers!
Vinay KashyapMarch 11, 2016 at 9:37 am #596775Great Vinay ! it’s working fine I can see what I write now ! But I still have no toolbox editor available so I cannot change the format of the text ….
I give you the ftp parametersthank you for helping me so well and quickly guys.
cheers

March 14, 2016 at 1:00 pm #597683Hey!
Sorry for the delay. We checked your site and in js console we found this error message “Uncaught ReferenceError: tinyMCE is not defined”
tinyMCE is the visual Editor wordpress uses clearly some js conflict is there disabling plugins is not sorting this out.
Disable enfold theme and check with default wordpress theme if you can use the visual editor. If you still get the same error go ahead and re-install the wordpress from dashboard > updates > re-install wordpress.
If the visual editor works with default wordpress theme.
It is possible that some core files of wordpress has a conflict.
Please go to dashboard > updates and re-install wordpress and re-install the enfold theme via FTP http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/install-enfold-over-ftp/Cheers!
Vinay KashyapMarch 14, 2016 at 1:15 pm #597690Ok but if I change the theme or if I reinstall wordpress will I loose my website content ?
March 14, 2016 at 7:37 pm #597940Hi!
1. If you change the theme to default Wp and back to enfold or enfold child theme – no you will not lose data.
2. If you re-install WP from Dashboard > Update > Re-install – no you will not lose data.
3. If you replace enfold theme folder from FTP – No data will be lost.
4. If you replace wp-content folder from FTP – Yes you will lose data. Please try 1 and 2 methods first only if it don’t resolve we recommend you try the method 3.
But if you have made any customisation to wordpress core files or enfold theme files without using child theme it might get lost when you re-install wordpress or the theme.
Cheers!

March 22, 2016 at 6:41 pm #602066March 25, 2016 at 10:10 pm #603732Hi!
if you have the same issue with a default WordPress theme then we can’t do much, as it seems that it’s not a theme related issue (as it’s happening with a default WordPress theme as well).
However, I think there might be some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/install-enfold-over-ftp/Regards,
AndyAugust 26, 2016 at 10:26 am #678037Hi there. I am having the same issues after I upgraded to latest version of WordPress and Enfold. I have read the comments above, and I have tried different suggestions. I still wasn’t able to fix the website. Please see my private content for link to website and other necessary information.

I tried to troubleshoot but the text in the text box looks fine (screenshot attached). Please elaborate the issue you are facing and let us know how we can re-produce it.

August 22, 2018 at 1:50 pm #1000320Hi dewitonline,
Which version of php are you running?
Could you please try to overwrite the theme files with a fresh copy from your Themeforest account via FTP to see if that helps? update your theme files/
Best regards,
VictoriaAugust 23, 2018 at 7:52 am #1000593hi Victoria,
I have updated the theme via FTP. After trial and error I figured it out and it looks like it is all working again as it should.
When I unpacked the Enfold update I transferred the whole dire. I should have just transferred the Enfold folder and that did work fine.
Thanks, Jan
