    Hi,

    I want to insert a new text into this “hier klicken”-button on this website: https://www.pd-experts.com/:

    I change the text and klick on save. Have a look at the text on the right side. Maybe the issue is connected to this:

    Now, the Promo Box looks like this:

    The error message “Aktualisierung fehlgeschlagen. Fehlermeldung: Die Antwort ist keine gültige JSON-Antwort.” means “Update failed. Error message: The response is not a valid JSON response”.

    The preview of the page looks like this now.

    Any ideas? Thank you for your help in advance!!!

    Hey amazingtools,

    Thanks for the screenshots. I’m not sure what is happening there, did you try to switch to the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options? If that doesn’t help then please post admin login details in private so that we can have a closer look, also please point out where we can reproduce this problem.

    Hmmm… I do not find the option to switch to the Classic Editor…

    I’ll give you access. You can reproduce it by going to the pages, search for the “Homepage” and then you will find the button. I think this issue exists also with other changes.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update, I’m getting the same problem as Mike.

    I do see that you are running an old version of the theme though, could you try to update to the latest version (4.7.3) to see if that helps please? The update to 4.7.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

    You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

    If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.

    After you have updated then try to activate the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options.

    thanks a lot! I updated the theme and now it works again!

    If I understood it correctly, I will see updates again in my wordpress backend from now on, right?

    Hi Bernd,

    Great, I’m glad that things are working again. The updates should be automatic from now, if you have created and added a valid token to the theme backend. If you haven’t then here are the instructions: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/
