    Hi, I can’t make any changes to text. All text is in code.
    I get the following message “It seems you are currently adding some HTML markup or other special characters. Once all HTML tags are closed the preview will be available again. If this message persists please check your input for special characters and try to remove them.”

    Please advise, I do not know what HTLM markup is or how to remove it.

    Hey ejearob,

    Thanks for the login details, though I think you forgot a link to your site? Did you try to activate the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options? I think that should resolve the problem you are having.

    The link is in the Private Content page. I have activated the Classic Editor, but no difference. Please have a look and advice.

    Hi, can your team please look at my backend and close HTML tags. I cannot see or work on text in text blocks and preview is not working!

    Thank you for your feedback. What exactly do you mean by updating the credentials?
    It is happening on all the pages with text. Could you look at the backend in a text block, headings are working fine.

    If you mean my credentials are my login detail as administrator, the information is in the private content below. I really need to get this fixed asap as I had to change website status from published to private mode for now.

    Hi,

    thanks for that, I see that you are running 4.4.1 so the option I was referring to is not included in that version. First off please update to the latest version of the theme (4.5.4), after that you can select to use the Classic Editor in the theme options.

    The update to 4.5.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

    You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

    Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/

    If you don’t want to update then you can disable the WordPress block editor by adding this to your functions.php file:

    // disable for posts
    add_filter('use_block_editor_for_post', '__return_false', 10);
    
    // disable for post types
    add_filter('use_block_editor_for_post_type', '__return_false', 10);
