We just moved our new site (http://www.bos.com) from a local host to a live site. I’ve noticed that the site load times are really slow. I’m using an image optimizer plugin (EWWW Image Optimizer) and have optimized all jpg images using that. I have a few videos – but they are all calling either youtube or vimeo. I have the Page Preloading and Page Transitions options checked in theme options.

We are having big problems with the theme any time we turn on Yoast SEO so I haven’t turned on any other optimization or caching plugins until that gets addressed (but i have W3 Total Cache and Autoptimize installed and ready to activate when we have that fixed).

Does anyone know any other ways to speed up the site? Does using the Page Preloading and Page Transitions options hurt or help (I currently have them on). Any other plugins I should consider that have worked well for others?

Thanks for any or all advice!

    Hi shirtandsimple!

I would look into the BWP Minify plugin to minify your JS and CSS. Here is the page speed insights report, https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bos.com%2F.

    Regards,
    Elliott
