Hi. I am really new to WordPress so I am asking, “What is the fastest/best method to combine elements from different demos in the Enfold theme?” I want to use prebuilt elements that are already in the demos to speed up the site design by just changing out the content. But, I haven’t found an easy way to do this.

    Here’s what I am doing:
    • I added the code to the .php file so I can see code in the Avia Layout Builder.
    • I created a “coming soon” page and set to public while I’m working on the site.
    • I added a plugin that enables me to put demo pages into admin folders. (Because, I don’t see any other way to distinguish between the demos after importing more than one. I can’t tell by the name of the pages what they belong to.)

Do I have to import each demo one at a time?
Then I move them to a folder (so I know what goes with what) and bulk edit the pages to private so they are not seen while I build my site content.
After each import, I have to go back and reset my “coming soon” page as the default homepage because the demo import over-rides my previous option settings.

    • After I have all the demos installed and private, I can copy & paste the element code into new pages.

Right now, I don’t have all the demos installed. I wanted to ask, “Is this the best way to do this?” Seems sort of clunky.
Is there a library of demo code that I could access without having to do all this importing and jumping between demos?
Will the elements from one demo look correct in a different demo, or will there be CSS issues?

Again, I am totally new (my first WordPress encounter) so I am probably way off track. Any advice?

    Thanks in advance!

I would love to know if there is a easy way to do this as well.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Most of the demos are built using the Advanced Layout Builder so I guess the easiest way would be to just drag and drop the elements you want onto the page. If you have debug mode activated like you say you have you can just copy/paste the shortcode into any new page or post.

    Best regards,

    Hello, Rikard.
Apparently, my questions were too vague.
My problem: I need elements from several of the demos combined into a single site. As I see it:
    a) I could start each page from scratch by building elements, OR
    b) I could try to combine prebuilt demo elements and then edit the content.

I am asking about the best way to combine prebuilt demo elements into one site.

    Specifically:
Do I have to import each demo one at a time?
Is there a “library” of demo code that I could access without having to do all this importing and jumping between demos? I love the Advanced Layout Builder, but I want to copy prebuilt/formatted/styled elements from one demo to use in another demo – not build all elements from scratch. (Of course, I’ll be building custom elements later and the ALB looks like that is going to be awesome.)
If I use a prebuilt element found in one demo and place it into another demo, will it need formatting or CSS edits to look the same? Does each demo have styling for every element available? (For example, what if I’m using FLAT BUSINESS DEMO and place the calendar from CHURCH into it. Would FLAT BUSINESS DEMO have styling for the calendar?)

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I think the easiest way to combine demo content would be to copy shortcode, that’s what I would do anyway.

You can only import one demo at a time, so yes. We have a library of all the elements: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/shortcodes/,but you won’t be able to see shortcodes there so I’m not sure it’s of any use to you.

I’m not a 100% sure but I think it should look the same, I think you will just have to try it out and see. If you run into any problems we can help you out with styling.

In general I don’t think you will save much time by combining demo content though, I would go for the demo you like the best and then add/remove the elements you need/don’t need.

    Rikard

I’m trying to do the same thing. I’m using the restaurant one page theme but want to use the forst pricing table on this page:
    http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/shortcodes/pricing-and-data-tables/

Where do I copy the shortcode from? Thanks!

    Hey!

You can enable debugging mode to see shortcodes you have created in pages using Advanced Layout Builder – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/

Or, You can switch to Default Editor and click on Magic Wand to see full list of shortcodes http://i.imgur.com/n4KXkdm.jpg
then you can create any of them and copy/paste shortcode into any other content element or into text widget.
