    Hi

This might be a bit basic question, but here goes!

I am working on using this theme as our portfolio site. We have jobs that are in portrait format, square, landscape and so on.

What do you feel is the best case scenario to post images in the gallery og slideshow that DOES NOT crop any of the artwork? I am testing a bit, and I feel a bit confused as to find the correct dimensions.

Cropping and close up on the front page portfolio view is fine.

    Thanks for help!

    Hi batesunited!

The best solution would be to put all of your images on the same size empty canvas. That way they display in the same view in each slide.

Otherwise you would resize them all to have the same width and a minimum height equal to the size of image you are using in the slideshow depending on the exact usage.

You can see the full breakdown of all the image sizes the theme creates with this plugin and which crop/don’t crop:

So you dont have a recomended pixel dimension?

After some trial and error I found that images in the dimensions 1000×809 display perfect. And ofcourse proportionally scale up or down if you like.

I was just wondering if you had a certain image width and heigh you recomend to use for this theme.

I will look into the plugin.

No, not a single one size fits all size for anything. There is too many possible configurations for there to be any single image size. It depends on the usage, the theme settings from the user and the kind of images.
