    Hi, I need to add a checkbox field to the comments form, that the user has read and agrees to our privacy policy. Please advise how to do that.

    Hey svetkol,

    Thank you for using Enfold.

    Add a new element and switch the Form Element Type to “checkbox”. Add the policy text in the Form Element Label field.

    Hi Ismael,

    thanks but I did not unterstand how to add the checkbox to comment forms. Can you explain it again? Where should we add a new element? In edit page for single posts? In Enfold settings? In single.php?

    I have tried the plugin “WP Comment Policy Checkbox” (https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/wp-comment-policy-checkbox/). But that does not work with Enfold theme.

    Hi Ismael. May be you didn’t got me. I mean the comments on posts not the contact form. I have already done it on the contact form but need to put a checkbox on the comment form as well.

    I think so too.

    What we need is a solution like the plugin WP Comment Policy Checkbox offers.

    Maybe some code ideas for comments.php?

    Hi Mathuseo, I did the job with the wp-comment-policy-checkbox/ plugin. It works with my version of Enfold, no idea why it doesn’t work with yours. Please note that there is a spelling mistake in the plugin. The link to the privacy policy is _blanck instead of _blank and that prevents the link to work properly. Need to change that in the wp-comment-policy-checkbox.php file on line 69.
