Im wondering abut tags & categories in portfolio items. I can define them, and when sorting portfolio items on static pages with a content element like portfolio grid or masonry I can sort the portfolio items by their tags or categories…
But, are the portfolio tags the same as post tags? Can the tags be displayed on portfolio pages?
Can the portfolio categories opened on a certain URL?Thanks for helping
November 6, 2016 at 2:10 pm #708851mhhh can it be that portfolio items are just a Enfold custom version of posts? Is there any way to have portfolio + post categories be the same? And is there any way to give to posts different item base than to portfolio, like:
http://www.xyz.com/news/####### (for posts)
http://www.xyz.com/projects/####### (for portfolio)I have changed the portfolio item base to projects successfully, but if I change the custom structure for posts to http://www.xyz.com/news/%postname%/ it also affects the item base for portfolio entries… any solution on this?
Thanks

November 8, 2016 at 2:19 pm #709789Hi,
this is default WordPress behavior and has nothing to do with the theme (you would get smiliar results with another WordPress theme). You could ask for a solution about this in general WordPress forum. Maybe there is a plugin with such a function out there.

November 9, 2016 at 6:31 pm #710389Hi,
the only tip I can give to you is the one Rikard only gave to you: go to Settings->Permalinks->Portfolio Entry Settings
and make your settings there.Best regards,
AndyNovember 10, 2016 at 10:37 am #710619Hi Andy
As I said I already have done this. but the problem is that when I change to custom links fpr the posts, it also add that custom part to the portfolio as well…if I change portfolio-items to /projects/ it workes fine
but if I change posts to /news/, it also affect the portfolio entry changing them to xyz.com/news/projects
Im wonderin why this happenes, becouse if you use for posts the other standard version, like month year it doesnt add this to the portfolio items as well.
November 11, 2016 at 4:25 pm #711232Hi,
does this happen with another WP theme as well for you?
There might be some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account. Here is a short tutorial on how to install the theme via FTP, in case you are not sure how that works:
