Questions about design: Background Image / Slider / Images with text (see pic)

Hi I have a few question about the following design (I just started in Enfold, so I do need to learn a lot)

Question 1: I need to fill the background of my website with a image (image of old paper) And I don’t how to do this.

See example (this is the homepage)

Question 2: I Need a slider which is NOT full screen (like the image) How can I do this?

Question 3: What is the best option to place images with text ON the image?

I really don’t know how to do this. I hope someone can help me!
