    Hi
    I have an old account under “Bodymindlinks” which I’m logged into right now

    I created a new account on theme forest

    I just bought a new theme

    did I need to buy a whole new purchase of the theme or was there an option to just by a new API key that I overlooked?

    I entered the new API key into this section (see private content) and it says “no new updates available”

    In the private content section I have a screen shot showing where on theme forest I went to get the code to paste into the “Your Themeforest API Key” section on the dashboard of the wordpress site

    I followed these directions

    so I downloaded “installable wordpress file only”

    I was thinking, “maybe I need to install this file for the new API key to work?”
    is it true I need to do that?

    Hi,

    So you bought a new theme license? You shouldn’t have had to do that, but you can always use the new license for a new site.

    I see that you are running an old version of the theme, the update to 4.5.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

    You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

    If that doesn’t work then please delete the old version of the theme, then upload the new one. Make sure that you have backups of the site before you start updating.

    thank you for making it clear I didn’t need to buy a new license

    I made a refund request to themeforest

    I’m going to have to hire a freelancer to help me with this update because I am a novice and don’t comprehend half of the language in the documentation

    Ok thank you I haven’t yet seen any refund yet and I haven’t used the purchase on the website

    If we could see the process we would definitely update you on the same. Unfortunately, it is more of their internal process and we do not have access to it. You can wait for some time and if you still do not get a response please try communicating with the ThemeForest support for progress on your case.
