Header Text Link Widget

Hi,

I tried adding a header menu widget following the instructions here http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/adding-a-widget-area-to-the-header/

I created a menu with two external links, then the functions.php edit, then menu widget and the custom css. I can’t get the links clickable or the right color, in bold etc. like the example sites below. The first link is how I would like it to appear. The second one is the one I’m working on. Any help much appreciated.
