Hey team,
Apologies if this has been addressed, but I can’t seem to get the header image right. I’m currently using the Envato lifestyle blog demo as a template and every time I try to add the header/logo image (and I used the recommended size 340px * 156px) it comes out extremely small and blurry. I managed to figure out everything else for this template, but this is the last thing I need to correct before publishing my website live! Help, please!

Domain right now is http://brunettedecorum.info/ (will be transferred to brunettedecorum.com after header image is fixed). I just turned maintenance mode off for your viewing. Let me know if you have any issues viewing website.
Thanks!

The image on upload lost its quality. You need to reupload the logo after you apply a filter, but for png, not just jpeg

I followed the guidelines provided. I uploaded the following code under appearance and editor:
add_filter(‘jpeg_quality’, function($arg){return 100;});Afterwards, I re-uploaded the twice logo (once as JPG and once as PNG) and there was no improvement. What code do I need to add for png? This tutorial only provides for jpg. I’m new to WordPress, so please bear with me.
I’d like to get this up and running asap. Thanks.
January 29, 2018 at 7:32 pm #904383Hi,
Apologies but I’m not seeing a low quality image when viewing the site. Can you please provide a screenshot so that I may see how the image appears to you. Also, did you make sure to clear you cache multiple times over, and you are sure the code was added to functions.php?
Best regards,
Jordan ShannonJanuary 29, 2018 at 8:20 pm #904404Hey Jordan,
I’ve purged all of my cache on WordPress and Chrome (for the last 24 hours). No change. I originally added the code under Appearance > Editor > Stylesheet. I went back and deleted code from there and instead tried adding code to the bottom of the following:
Appearance > Editor > functions.enfold.php
Appearance > Editor > header.phpNone of them seem to be working from my end. If I’m adding the code incorrectly, please let me know. Apologies, but my response form doesn’t seem to be allowing screenshot uploads, but it looks exactly the same as it did prior to adding the code – small and blurry.

The image you upload
http://brunettedecorum.info/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Brunette-Decorum-340-x-156-V2-300×138.pngseems to be a low quality from start.

BasilisJanuary 30, 2018 at 10:37 pm #905203Hey all,
After playing around with the image size a bit more I got it to work! Thank goodness, but I definitely had to use a logo way bigger than 340px * 156px (which is what is recommended for this theme). Not sure if it’s because something going on with my site or what, but something you may want to keep an eye on in the future.
Thank you all for your assistance.
January 30, 2018 at 11:01 pm #905220Hi,
Thank you for providing the solution that helped. Do you mind sharing the logo size you had to use?

Jordan ShannonJanuary 31, 2018 at 2:51 am #905285Hey Jordan,
I had to use 5000 x 3000 via Canva for my header/logo size along with changing the WordPress size setting from Medium (which my layout picks automatically) to Featured Large – 1500 x 630. Hope this helps and thanks again for everything!
