My blog page is built using the Advanced Layout Builder. The only elements on the Blog listings page are a Blog header made with a grid row, and a row containing the Blog Posts content element. Everything was perfect but now suddenly the Blog header has disappeared!

In the dashboard the Grid Row is there, but on the site only the post listings appear — NO HEADER. I have no idea why this happened; did nothing to the blog other than add key words in Yoast.

There is a dev site that is identical to the main site and the Blog header appears there just fine. I’ll include credentials for both sites so you can see how the Blog header should look.

On inspect, it appears the Advanced Layout Builder isn’t being called on the blog page for the main site. Fyi, in my child theme functions, I’ve added the code you provided to use the Advanced Layout Builder in blog posts — but that’s only for individual posts, not for the listing page, so should not affect this page. And I’m not using the Builder for the individual posts anyway. Besides, I had done that BEFORE the Blog header disappeared — so can’t figure out why this happened. How to get the Advanced Layout Builder back on the blog?? Please help!

    Hey bkatzdesign,
I couldn’t find the issue, I tried to activate the Avia Layout Builder Debug to test the page on a clean install, but your functions.php wouldn’t save. You could enable the debug mode via ftp, then we could rule out plugins & scripts. You could also copy the page and try to make a new test blog page with the debug code to see if that works. I see you said you made a change with Yoast with this happened, have you thought about using revisions to try to go back before the change?

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi bkatzdesign,

The header shows when the blog layout in theme options is set to “Use Advanced Layout Builder”.

    Best regards,

    Hi,

I’m pretty sure that Victoria changed that setting, yes. Please try that out if you should have this problem again :-)

    Best regards,
    Rikard
