    Hello there,
I have a strange problem on several sites after the update to Enfold 4.5: Google Search Console keeps reporting usability issues (on mobile): clickable elements seems to be too close together so they’re not to be clicked at comfortable. And some sites appear too wide for small screens (content wider than screen).
I really don’t know what and why is going on since I didn’t change anything in the corresponding sites – only made the update ….
    Any ideas?

    Thanks a lot in advance!

    Hey KELmedia,

    Thank you for using Enfold.

This is what I got when I ran the usability or mobile friendly test.

Are you seeing any layout issues on mobile view? If there are none, you can just ignore those warnings because they’re probably false positives.

    Best regards,

    Hello Ismael,

thanks for the screenshot where I can’t find nothing wrong displayed on.
Fun fact: Checking mobile friendly site on Google tool shows several issues … like script issues (private content 1).
Plus the tool tells me, that two pictures are too big to fit mobile screen (private content 2) – which I don’t really get why as the pics are resized correctly when checking “in real life” on a mobile screen.

You’re for sure right that these warnings are false, but I fear if Google will downgrade the site’s search ranking … and the other side which has kind of the same issues as Google tells me.

    Kind regrads,
    Katharina

    Hi,

You don’t need to obsess over those tests because they’re not that accurate. This article might clear things up a bit.

    Hi Ismael,
thanks fot the articles – nonetheless the Google warnings I recieved weren’t about page speed but about if the website’s mobile friendly. Never mind, I checked the warnings again and tested the concerning sites on several mobile devices on my own. Result: I can’t really see, where elements are too close together so you can’t properly click on them (like Google warned me about). And there is no single picture that is displayed uncorrectly or wouldn’t fit the mobile devices screen … so maybe you’re right and that was a “false” warning.
    Best regards,
    Katharina

    Hi Katharina,

Those warnings are usually not correct unfortunately. We’ve had several threads like this, but we can’t see any elements on the actual sites behaving like the Google test says.

    Hi Katherina

I had 3 issues with my home page reported by Google Search Console as usability issues on mobiles:
    1) Text too small to read, 2) Clickable elements too close together, 3) Viewport not set
I couldn’t see any evidence of what it was highlighting and did not see any solutions on the support pages. It eventually occurred to me that possibly the code I had in Quick CSS might be the source of the issues, so I took it all out and the issues now appear to be resolved.

I hope this helps you find a solution.

    Regards
    Mick
