Hello,
I am taking over a site built with enfold – as we have no contact the the former developer I purchased enfold theme with 12 months support. My main question is about how Kriesi deal with google’s pagespeed insights warning to defer offscreen images…
I do not see a good way to lazyload images and use enfold but the google pagespeed performance on mobile(for this site even with images heavily optimised) is terrible without this.
Please let me know your strategy to deal with lazyload.
The test site I made to try and fix this is in the private content section.
thanks
Hey izuio,
There is no lazy loading functionality in the theme by default unfortunately, maybe you could try using a plugin for that?
I’m not sure I understand what you mean by off screen images?
Best regards,
Rikard
Hi,
Thanks for that. There is no functionality for lazy loading images in the theme like I stated earlier, so if you need to do that I would recommend using a third party plugin.
Best regards,
Rikard
I tried using lazyload plugins – inevitably none of the work; which brings me back to my original question.
What is your strategy to deal with google pagespeed insights scores ? …or has Kriesi decided google warning just don’t matter enough.
thanks

Hi,
Yes, it’s true that there are some changes in the testing tool but the recommendations in that article should still work. To defer offscreen images, you can try one of these plugins.

Thank you for your patience.
