    Hi,
My client’s credit card expired on their Google Cloud billing account. I thought fixing the billing issue would fix the maps not appearing but it does not.

I am able to validate the Google Maps API Key – “We were able to properly connect to google maps with your API key.”

What I have already tried to no avail:
    Disabled all plugins
    Default Enfold theme
Created new Google Maps API Key
An unrestricted Google Maps API Key
We do not use cookie consent but I tried turning that on in Enfold settings and choosing the first option.

Please help – I’m out of ideas.

    Hey karirak73,
Thanks for your patience, I don’t see a map or error on your page so perhaps the error can only be seen by the admin. Please include an admin login in the Private Content area so we can investigate.

    Best regards,
    Mike

Hi Mike – to see the message you have to inspect the page code and you can see a hidden div in that area with the error message.

Link to image of error included below along with login info.

    Hi,
Thanks for the login, I’m not sure what could be causing this, but I see that you are using WPRocket, sometimes this has blocked elements if not enough exclusions were added to it’s exclusion field, so to text try disabling this and your lazy load plugin to see if this helps.
I also see that you have a header.php & footer.php file in your child theme, if these do not match the current footer.php & header.php, it will cause errors in your theme, it is the most common reason for errors after updating. Please try enabling the parent theme and see if the map then shows.
I also note that you don’t have a Privacy Policy page enabled and your Privacy and Cookies tabs are missing one:
    Enfold Support 5730
this is what you should see:
    Enfold Support 5732
try enabling a Privacy Policy page.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi MIke,
Perhaps you missed my original message – I have already tried disabling all plugins and using the default Enfold theme.

Do we need a privacy policy page for the maps to work?

    Hi,
Thanks for the feedback, I did mis that. I noticed another error on your page:
[AVIA-MAP-ERROR] Latitude or Longitude missing. Make sure you did not only enter an address. You need to fetch the coordinates too.
your map address doesn’t have a city or state, try adding these and then fetch the coordinates:
    Enfold Support 5744
    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,
Thanks for your suggestion but on the live site we do have the coordinates and it’s not working. I added the address on the dev site as you suggested and fetched the coordinates but the map is still not appearing.

Oddly it the map does appear when I’m logged in as admin, but not if I log out or use a private window.

    Any other suggestion?

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

The map displays properly when we removed the “jotform” script inside the code block element. Please check the password-protected test page in the private field.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi again Ismael,

Thanks for the tip. It helped get me closer to getting the maps working, but something is still not working right.

I deleted the JotForm cache but the page still would not load the map. Then I cloned the page and the map works on the cloned page (it has the Jotform script too)!

If you view the first URL below (original contact page) and the map does not load, please view the 2nd URL (cloned contact page). The map works on this page and it is identical to the original contact page.

Once you have viewed the cloned page you can go back to the original contact page and now the maps work. Why would this be happening?

    Hi,
When I disable your WPRocket plugin completely and then check your /contact/ in a new incognito browser the map shows correctly like your /contact-map-test/ page, so it seems to be one oo the WPRocket options. I’m not familiar with all of the WPRocket setting, so try disable the setting one at a time and see if you can isolate the setting. Or perhaps try these exclude settings from the WP Rocket documentation.
If this is related to the JotForm plugin and how WPRocket is handling it, you may need to find the exclude settings for the JotForm plugin.

    Best regards,
    Mike
