Hi there,
I’ve recently exceeded my quota with Google, I put in a request to get this increased, their response was for me to make a $50 deposit.
So for me this is more about the principal, & I know its a losing battle as these guys are a monolithic monopoly.
I’m not going to give them $50 to increase my quota, my current monthly charges are minimal & this is overkill to say the least.
So, I know others have been looking into alternatives, which I’m also doing now.
If anyone finds a good, workable solution – could you let us know?
I’ll do the same, & if any of the mods here have any advice – that’d be greatly appreciated.

Here are a few alternatives: https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/google-maps-alternatives/. We will likely implement something other than Google Maps in the theme in the future, but for now that is the only solution we have.
