Hello,
i have tried a lot of different options to make Google index my pages but wasn’t successful so far.
Of course the Settings -> Read are set that search engines are able to index my page.
I use Yoast SEO for optimizations and further use the plugin Google XML Sitemaps to create a sitemap because Yoast didn’t do that properly.I have added the URL to the Google Search Console and their response was: all three pages are set on noindex.
Which additional options/settings I should check to let Google index my pages?
Which additional information do you need to make a proper statement on my issue?Thank you very much!

September 24, 2020 at 10:37 am #1248106Hi,
Thank you for the update.
Is this is a new site? If so, how old? Please note that it may take a while before web crawlers find the site, so you might have to wait for a while. To hasten it a bit, try to directly send a request to Google to index the site or pages.

You could also submit a sitemap to Google if necessary.

IsmaelSeptember 24, 2020 at 11:46 am #1248121Hi Ismael,
yes the page is quite new.
As stated above I have already requested the indexing from Google in the Google Seach Console and have also submitted a sitemap to them.They have crawled the pages 12-14 days ago and there was the first error with “noindex”. I have requested a new indexing but this didn’t happen so far.
But I haven’t changed my settings since then so I don’t expect a different outcome this time.May there be issues with my site itself or the used plugins?
Best regards!
September 25, 2020 at 1:40 pm #1248442Hi,
Did you create a robot.txt file? It is possible that you accidentally disallow crawlers from indexing the site from that file. The meta tag is correctly set to index and follow.
<meta name="robots" content="index, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1">
We noticed that the calendly-spinner iframe is set to noindex, but we are not really sure if this could affect the indexability of the entire page.
Are you doing any site or page redirects?

IsmaelSeptember 25, 2020 at 7:29 pm #1248497Hello Ismael,
the robot.txt containts the following:User-agent: * Disallow: /wp-admin/ Allow: /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
Should I change something with the calendly integration by now?
I don’t do any site or page redirects at all that I’m aware of.
Thank you!
Best regards
September 28, 2020 at 5:59 am #1248920Hi,
Could you provide a screenshot of the Google Console? Please try to mark the noindex report as solve and wait for a few days. Again, this will take a while, so during the wait try to optimize the site based on the recommendations provided in the Google PageSpeed Insight tool or GTMetrix.
// https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights
// https://gtmetrix.com/This article should also help with the optimization.
// https://kriesi.at/archives/scoring-100-100-in-google-pagespeed-insights-gtmetrix-pagespeed-and-yslow
This optimization should help increase the chance of the site to get indexed by search engines.

following the screenshot. I haven’t been able so far to close the report or mark it as solved.I will follow the other instructions as well.
Thanks so far,

Is the calendly-spinner plugin necessary for the site? According to some articles, meta tags that are defined inside an iframe in a page should not affect the indexability of the page but we not really sure about this because documentation is lacking regarding this topic. So if the plugin is not that necessary, disabling it will probably not hurt.
Thank you for your patience.

IsmaelOctober 4, 2020 at 4:51 pm #1250420Hi Ismael,
Google has added two of the three pages to its index so far. The main page was indexed, so there is no issue with the calendly-spinner plugin.
So you can be sure that this plugin doesn’t harm indexing for future issues with other pages.Thank you very much for your assistance, much appreciated!
