I wanted to jump in and say I have been having the same issue as others in recent threads, but I dont seem to see much of a response from the Enfold team.

Since an Enfold update that i applied on 1/17/20 my traffic tanked to near 0. It magically came back with another Enfold update on 1/28/20, but is again not work as of last week on 2/11/20:

I have not actually lost the traffic, its there, but it’s not tracking. Here is my Search console:

So the issue appears to be the new GDPR and privacy settings in Enfold. I have them ALL turned off under the privacy policy tab, and I have disabled cookie consent messages. So not sure why this is impacting me at all.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi,

    Thanks for contacting us!

Ismael found out that when Autoptimize plugin is active, Google tracker does not load properly. I checked your website and you are using Autoptimize as well. Could you please try de-activating it temporarily and check if that helps?

    Cheers!

Sure thing, I will de-activate and update shortly. I have been using this for years, are you seeing this may not be an Enfold issue?

It does appear to have resolved. Is the problem really with Autoptimize plugin or somehow with Enfold interacting with the plugin?

UPDATE: Deactivating Autoptimize did restore normal Google Analytics tracking, however, it did not restore some of the other tracking that I have set up by adding code to the Google Analytics Tracking Code section of the Enfold theme settings.

Something still isn’t right, and it’s not just Autoptimize at this point. Any updates? This all seems to have started with the Enfold updates in January.

    Hi,

Sorry for the delay. We explained how the Privacy & Cookie options affect the Google Analytics script in the following thread.

Hi Ismael, that is actually me on the other thread too, sorry about the overlap.

Read my first post, please. What I am saying is that I do NOT have the privacy options enabled, they are turned off. And I’m still having issues with GA.

I have two tracking codes in the google analytics code section of the Enfold settings, Google Analytics and Clicky, on 3 different websites with all the same plugins etc.

Yes, deactivating Autoptimize seemed to help GA tracking but I can’t help but feel something else is going on here.

Clicky analytics are NOT working on any of the 3 sites since 1/17/20, regardless of the status of the Autoptimize plugin and with all privacy settings OFF. So I don’t think this is simply an autoptimize plugin issue. Something is up with Enfold too, don’t you think?

    Hi,

This is probably not related to the theme because the only option that can interrupt or stop the GA script is the privacy cookies, and only when its default behavior is NOT set to the first option. Have you tried testing it while a default theme is active?

What do you mean by Clicky analytics? Did you create custom event trackers in your Google console?

    Best regards,
    Ismael
