I noticed that, after updating Enfold to version 3.8, a JS error started appearing on the pages.
Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token var

I removed that script, and the error disappeared. Thinking of an issue in the script, I copied it from my GA settings, but the error returned.
I made an experiment, removing the script from the Enfold settings and adding it via a wp_footer event. The script runs fine, no error is returned in that case. Perhaps this information may help you finding the cause of the issue.

Thanks for reporting that though I think it’s something local on your installation since we haven’t heard this reported by any other users.

RikardNovember 2, 2016 at 11:06 am #707043I would doubt that it’s something specific to my setup. It looks like the GA script is minimised, and that causes the error. I explicitly disabled JavaScript minification in any my settings (didn’t touch Enfold) to prevent these issues, and the error occurred only after the update to Enfold 3.8.
As I wrote, I worked around it by removing the GA script from the theme settings and by injecting it manually. The script is no longer minified, and it works fine.

Could you try updating the theme to the latest version (5.1.2) to see if that helps please? https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update. If not, then please open a new thread and include WordPress admin login details in private, so that we can have a closer look at your site.
Best regards,
Rikard -
