    I have a fullwidth slider with a youtube video in it, on our page. However it doesn’t display on iphone or mac safari 5.1.10

    Hi runekjensen!

    I’m not sure any of us have an older version of Safari running to test on since the Mavericks update was free. I’ll tag the other support crew and and see if we can debug what might be happening.

    Kriesi is aware of the iOS issues though that is due to iOS not allowing any video to autoplay and the user having no way to play the video in the background so the fix will either be a fallback static image or a play button, not sure which yet.

    Hey!

    Afaik you can’t set a fallback picture at the moment. I’ll tag this thread for Kriesi – maybe we can add such a feature to the next theme version.

    Hi!

    Unfortunately we can do longer support safari 5.1, its the equivalent in market share to ie6 :)
    In all other browsers the video seems to run fine. Fallback images will be possible for mobile devices only since they behave completely different than desktop browsers
