    Hi there

I’ve noticed this before and it’s a bit of an issue, if you check http://stokenhamprimaryschool.co.uk/newsite/ you see on the first image of the slider the head’s of the children are cut off, is there anyway to change how this works? The image size is 4359 × 2452 whereas the image that are blurry are all 900 x 400 but show perfectly.

Please can you let me know how I can fix this as it’s driving me loopy :)

    Hey Anon_Designers,

The slider uses this image dimension: 1500px x 430px. Basically the clear image is being cut off because wordpress crops it by getting what is in the middle, as for the blurry images, since it is less than 1500x430px it’s not cropped and just stretched that’s why it’s blurry. The solution for this is to use an image editing software like photoshop and crop it to 1500x430px this way you can set what part you want to get instead of letting wordpress do it. I hope this helps, if my explanation is not clear please let us know and we would be glad to answer :)

    Best regards,
    Nikko

The problem I’m still having is that the first image isn’t as deep as the other ones, is there another size I can use?

    Hi,

Change the Slideshow Image Size to Featured Large which uses 1500x630px then re-upload the image you used but with the exact dimension.

Hi Nikki, I’ve done this and it chops off the top portion of the image

    Hi!

It seems to using a larger image size in terms of height but it really looks a lot better than before. Can you give us a temporary admin access so we can inspect further. Just place the details in the Private Content section when you reply.

    Regards,
    Nikko
