Hi,
I think Enfold is the most flexible theme available and one can achieve awesome results with it. However, there is one thing that makes me grinding my teeth as I don’t seem to get it done like I want. I found this website based on another WP theme and it has a full background image (fixed and no repeat) and a transparent text part that “scrolls” over the background. Please see an example here: http://kirstymitchellphotography.com/about-the-artist/biography/ or here: http://kirstymitchellphotography.com/about-the-artist/sponsors/
Is it somehow possible to create the same effect with Enfold?
Thank you very much and cheers.

Navigate to Dashboard > Enfold > General Styling > Body Background and set the background attachment to fixed.
Cheers!
ElliottFebruary 24, 2015 at 7:04 pm #401622Hi Elliott,
thanks, I am aware of this setting, but this is the background image for the whole website, isn’t it? I need different background images per page and then the transparent text block on top.
I thought of either additional CSS for each page or maybe a color section that let’s me have a background image for the full single page. You know what I mean?
Thanks a lot.

You can also set the background for the main content in the same area. Go ahead and send us a link to your page and take a screenshot highlighting the exact area your trying to change and we’ll take a look.

ElliottFebruary 26, 2015 at 2:09 pm #402655Hi Elliott, thanks for your reply.
All I wanted to know is if it’s possible to have a single page looking like the ones from the two example pages I mentioned in the inital post. By using Enfold. That’s why I can’t give you a link to my page as I want to recreate something I have seen on another page.
I can use a color section to have a fullscreen fixed background image. But how would I have a transparent text block that would scroll over the background image? This is what I try to achieve.
It would be great to know if its possible like on the example pages.
Thanks a lot and cheers.

Enable the custom css class for the builder elements. Refer to this link: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/turn-on-custom-css-field-for-all-alb-elements/
Apply a unique css selector to a text block or grid row element then apply a transparent background to it. Or apply the transparent background directly to the color section’s container.
Cheers!

sorry to jump in ;)
The layout that @TF_Photograpfy gives as an example needs not to activate “activate extre css fields for all ALB elements” because that field is already existing in “color section”.
I see a solution to the problem by using an image saved with two differents transparency (or white transparent layer at the top) :
PAGE ONE :
> First Color section (your-first-custom-id) in “ID section”
> “Section Background” : “your-original-image.jpg”, placed bottom-right and fix> Second Color section (your-second-custom-id) in “ID section”
> “Section Background” : “your-transparency-image.jpg”, placed bottom-right and fixConsequently you will have two same images (with differents effects of transparency) following each other rolling from the top to bottom as in your examples.
By using “your-first-custom-id” and “your-second-custom-id” you can manege to effect css codes to each elements in those “color sections”.and for other page(s) you can use different “custom IDs” and differents images.
I’ve already tested on local, as allways it’s easy with Enfold.
I hope I was clear enough- This reply was modified 9 years, 9 months ago by begrafiks.
