On certain computers, I only see Arial or HelveticaNeue, even though I have the font set to Open Sans in the Enfold theme options > General Styling tab in WordPress. It is especially bad in the layer slider, as it shows a different font on every slider, even throws in a serif instead of a sans-serif.

On computers that have Open Sans installed on the computer itself, it is not a problem.

To try to fix it, I added a link to the google web font version of Open Sans, and set the font family and weight in the custom CSS. I can tell that it worked using “WhatFont” in Safari. On the computer where it is not working, it has Open Sans crossed off.

I also double-checked the styling in the layer sliders and had the fonts stacked accordingly, with sans-serif at the bottom, yet I still had problems with the layer slider showing serif fonts.

I just updated to Enfold 3.0.5 and WordPress 4.1 yesterday. Before updating, it wasn’t a problem.

    Hi gwyrrdin!

It appears to be working fine on my end. The open sans font is being loaded from the Google CDN and you have it set on all of your LayerSlider texts.

Try clearing your browser cache and then take a screenshot of what your seeing so we can get a better idea.

    Regards,
    Elliott

    Hi Elliot.
Thank you very much for looking into this for me. As it turns out, the cache on the server needed to be cleared. Since my supervisor did so, there have been no further problems.

Sorry to have wasted your time.

    Kind regards,
    Joanne
